    • Within the framework of the project MarineBlueRefine PROCiência2020 (Portaria nº 371/2015, de 16/12), M1420-01-0247-FEDER-000006 Centro de Química da Madeira (CQM), University of Madeira, Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal, is seeking for one researcher (M/F) holding a PhD Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering,  Materials Sciences or related fields with experience in Organic Chemistry, Chromatographic and Spectroscopic Techniques, to perform several tasks of the referred project under supervision of the PI.

    Required Experience:

    The candidates must have a PhD degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Sciences or similar area. It is requested good hands-on experience in Spectroscopy and Chromatography in the field of Organic Chemistry.

    • Characterization of fish waste extracts.
    • Optimization of experimental conditions for extractions, isolation of and purification of bioactive components.
    • Physical and chemical characterization of purified substances.
