CQM Member” or “Member” is any natural or legal person who is affiliated with or that works at/with CQM. CQM members will also have an account to be able to access additional functionalities of the Service.

Visitor” is any natural or legal person that uses the service but that is not affiliated with CQM.

CQM Members

If you are a CQM Member, CQM may also use your data for various purposes but not limited to:

  1. Provide access to advanced functionalities of the Service available only to CQM Members
  2. Prepare reports about CQM
  3. Advertise/Promote CQM and its activities
  4. Inform Visitors about CQM and CQM Members

As a CQM Member your personal data may also be shared with your supervisor and members of CQM’s administration for the purposes of validation / confirmation.

Since your personal data is also required to access advanced functionalities of the Service relevant to CQM Members, your personal data will have to be maintained on our servers while you are a CQM Member. If are no longer CQM Member and wish for your information to be removed please contact us.

As part of purpose 4 (“Inform Visitors about CQM and CQM Members”) CQM will show some of your personal data on the Service (full name, author name, institutional email address, profile photo and links to scientifically relevant online profiles that you provide) to provide Visitors with ways to contact you and follow your professional progress.

CQM is funded largely through external funding agencies such as FCT, the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia) and ARDITI (Agência Regional para o Desenvolvimento da Investigação, Tecnologia e Inovação). As a CQM Member, some or all of your personal information may have to disclosed to these agencies in order to validate your affiliation to CQM and to comply with the regulations/requirements of these third-party funding agencies and their programs.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
