The Madeira Chemistry Research Centre (CQM) has received, today, in its laboratories, and by the invitation of the "CQM Fan Club", a group of 6 students from Francisco Franco Secondary School for a visit to the facilities. During the morning, the students were received at our Tecnopolo space by the Coordinator of the CQM and then had the opportunity to observe on the spot the research work developed in the areas of Materials and Natural Products. Within the scope of this action, the teenagers were able to attend various experiences, such as the observation of the fluorescence emitted by spirulina; the processing, and the observation of copper samples through the scanning electron microscope. The students also had the opportunity to see the Electrospinning and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance equipment in operation. The visit took place in strict compliance with all the individual and institutional protection and security protocols in force.
