The Madeira Chemistry Research Centre (CQM) has been at the "XXVI Encontro Nacional da SPQ" that took place at the University of Porto, Faculty of Sciences, on July 24-26, 2019.
Given that 2019 is the international year of the periodic table, this meeting has as its motto the “Periodic Table” being highlight the following topics:
- The Periodic Table and the Elements of Life (health, diet and environment)
- Luminescent Periodic Table (materials, energy and nanotechnology)
- The Periodic Table in the Classroom (communication, culture and teaching)
This meeting gathered specialist from different areas of chemistry, from senior scientists to young scientists, to discuss and share their latest achievements in an inspiring and welcoming environment.
The CQM has participed in this reunion with 12 poster communications and 1 oral communication: "FOODOMICS PLATFORMS - new avenues to investigate food quality, traceability and bioactivity", presented by Prof. José Câmara - senior researcher at CQM.
