You will arrive at
Madeira International Airport situated in Santa Cruz, 16 km from the City of Funchal. Access to
Funchal from the Airport is via the dual highway which takes about 20 minutes
by car. Taxis (cars, minibuses, people carriers) are available at the airport
and are an economical option if you are traveling in a group. You can also
hire a car or use public transport. TAP Portugal passengers can travel
to Funchal for free on the special "AeroBus" upon presentation of their
boarding card. The AeroBus service runs daily from the Airport to Funchal.
It passes through the Funchal city centre and then crosses the Lido area
(where the Conference venue is located) terminating at Praia Formosa.
