HOW TO GET TO FUNCHAL? |
You will arrive at Madeira Intercontinental Airport situated in Santa Cruz, 16 Km from the City of Funchal.
The access to Funchal is via the dual highway from the Airport which takes about 20 minutes by car.
Taxis (cars, minibuses, people carriers) are available at the airport and are an economical option if you are traveling in a group. You can also hire a car or use public transport.
TAP Portugal passengers can travel free on the special "AeroBus" to Funchal upon presentation of their boarding card. The AeroBus service runs daily from the Airport to Funchal. It passes through Funchal city centre and then on to the Hotel Area East of the city centre terminating at Praia Formosa. |
